People with HIV who achieve and maintain an undetectable viral load (the amount of HIV in the blood), by taking a medication daily as prescribed, cannot sexually transmit the virus to others.
  • HIV medicines can’t cure HIV, but they help people with HIV live longer, healthier lives.
  • People with HIV take a combination of HIV medicines every day. The HIV medicines prevent HIV from advancing to AIDS.
  • HIV medicines reduce the risk of HIV transmission.
